BORACAY CAREER
Boracay Island, Philippines known as one of the world’s best beaches is a prime destination. The influx of foreign tourist approximately 499,000 for 2007 captures the interest of both local and foreign investors to pour billion dollar worth of projects.
Annual shortage of hotel rooms caused some travel agencies to recommend Siquijor Island in the Philippines to be alternative holiday destination. But still Boracay is the perfect island getaway with its powder-fine white sand, warm blue waters and cool palm coconut trees along the long beach from station one to station three.
However , the rapid increase of tourist is now address with the construction of several condominium hotels like Alta Vista de Boracay Condotel, Crown Regency Resort and Convention Center, 7 Stones , Crown Regency Condotel and more developers flocking in the island to invest. This means more job openings and a lot of careers in the island.
Somehow, along with this development, more work is available for jobseekers in Boracay. Major hotels provide above average compensation package to attract quality staff. But even if you are receiving higher salary in Boracay the cost of living is also very high. Employees need to avail payday loans in order to survive in times of emergency. The room rates suitable for a young executive working in Boracay ranges from 5,000.00 pesos to 25,000.00. The only affordable room I’ve checked out is 4,000.00 pesos good for two persons.
